As the premiere program of Southwestern University PHINMA, the School of Medicine is the choice institution for medical education of over 1,500 students coming from the Philippines and around the world. It is one of the biggest, most diverse medical schools in the entire country. We are a second home for  Filipinos from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Our local student population come from Bohol, Leyte, Negros Island, Iloilo, Surigao, Zamboanga, General Santos, Bukidnon, Cagayan de Oro, Metro Manila, Northern Luzon and the Bicol area.

Reflecting its reputation as a global hub of learning, the School of Medicine has one of the largest populations of international students among medical schools in the Philippines. We are a literal rich melting pot of cultures with international students from over thirty countries in Asia, Africa and North America. Walk through the halls of SoM and you will hear a plethora of languages representing future physicians from India, Nepal, Japan, South Korea, Nigeria, Kenya and the USA among many others.
